As a mom to two girls, Buffy understands that keeping kids safe is crucial to every parent. Digital addiction is real, and there must be more safeguards. Kids should be learning and playing, not scrolling.  

As Assemblywoman, Buffy took on Big Tech companies to implement age restrictions and an age verification processes to keep children safe online. Buffy collaborated with Meta, Google, and children's advocacy organizations to craft landmark legislation, the Digital Age Assurance Act, AB 1043.

This bill gives parents a key tool to make sure their children are accessing appropriate content while protecting the privacy of our families.
